Introducing a new route, sites and experiences as part of The Big Lap. Leaving May 31 2026 from Northbridge, Perth, we head north visiting many of WA's favourite towns. With our destinations to include Broome, Darwin, Uluru, Cooper Pedy and Port Augusta, we then turn and head back for the WA border. This will be one to remember!

Using the Brand and North West Coastal Highways together with Great Northern Highway we aim for Broome's Cable beach with overnight stops in Carnarvon, South hedland before reaching Broome..

Continuing on from Broome on the Great Northern Highway stay in a secured resort in Kununurra. We then leave early as we cross the WA/NT border on the Victoria Highway aiming for Katherine and on to Darwin for a rest day.

Leaving Darwin via the Stuart Highway we cross the centre of Australia, staying in Tennant Creek overnight in the cool winter air. We then proceed to catch Uluru at sunset and stay at an unforgettable night in Yulara before getting up early to watch the sunrise over Uluru as it moves through intense colours and includes deep purples to fiery reds.

Aiming to rejoin the Stuart Highway, we travel south via the opal town of Coober Pedy, where we stay overnight for a memorable opal experience. In the morning we have a shorter day and aim for the tranquil and beautiful historical town of Melrose in the Flinders Ranges only 3 hours out of Adelaide.

The Return Stage
Stage 5
3 Days
Returning to WA, we cross the Nullarbor. This is where we find the sheer cliffs to the Southern Ocean and the 90 mile straight! Aiming for Eucla on day 11 where we spend the night, we find the old telegraph station. In the morning we depart for Esperance for one last stop and rest on day 12. As day 13 starts, we head home. We arrive mid afternoon to an awaiting cheer squad and refreshing smiles and celebrate what has been.

Visit Devil's Marbles, Uluru, an Opal Mine and see kangaroos on the beach.
